Roamwild PestOff Bird Feeder For Suet Nuggets/Fat Balls

I'm so glad I bought this feeder,the birds visit every day and they take turns so no over crowding,it's clean and the fat balls stay dry. It looks good too.

Excellent. I already have the seed feeder which works well so I decided to get the fat ball version as larger birds were devouring fats ball at a rate of knots.

We bought this to keep the magpies and crows off our fat balls and are very impressed with the design. We already have 2 seed feeders and wondered how the opening would allow fat balls to be added. The design is ingenious but simple and you can either use fat balls or the suet pellets (which we also bought to try out) The great tits have already found them and I'm sure it won't be long before the other do as well. Well worth the investment.

A well designed & constructed feeder; easy to fill & clean.
This has stopped magpies & squirrels from accessing the fat balls while still allowing our woodpecker to feed & has resulted in much less waste on the ground..

This is great that it keeps the suet nuggets and fat balls protected from the rain but unfortunately my persistent magpies have sussed out that if they fly up to the feeder and flap their wings rather like a humming bird they can help themselves. Little birds aren't used to it yet and have rarely visited in the two weeks it has been hanging out.

So pleased with this bird feeder. It keeps the fat balls dry, and the crows, rooks, jackdaws and magpies are not able to get to them. So it is saving me a fortune in bird food.
The birds already used to my other roamwild feeder took to this new feeder straight away. Infact when i first hung it up they were already eating from it before i get back indoors.

I am thrilled with these feeders - they look fantastic, I have 3 now for nuts, seeds and fat and am looking at getting a meal worm one next! They are so clean and do keep pests away

Bought both a Suet feeder and seed feeder after much deliberation as they are more costly than your standard feeders- but I’m SO happy I did!

After trying many other bird feeders- that weren’t squirrel proof , left chewed and broken with bird food emptied out all over the grass for the squirrels picnic - These were just amazing!

I watched the squirrels attempt to climb down it, up and over it, any way possible and every time either fall or give up!

So the feeders may cost a little more but they pay for themselves! the money saved in broken plastic ones continuously purchased or emptied out bird food gone in days, it’s a no brainer!

Would love a version for my flutter butter for a full set ,but not for anchoring to a tree or fence as the jar version is too big.

One tip when I put these out as we have a family of clever squirrels- make sure no nearby branches to lean across- i strategically made sure gaps all round where placed as per instructions.

Defo 5*! With loads of birds now taking turns to eat the bird food actually for them :)

It’s nice in the fact you can have suet balls, but I think it’s too complex with the birds to get in

Not sure that my little birds find it as easy to pick up the suit balls as my previous feeder and they can only feed one at a time on the feeding station. There is always a queue waiting their turn. No big birds though and we have crows nearby.

It took some time for birds to get used to it, but now it's a wonderful addition to some of your other feeders.

Sturdy, durable, easy to refill and it is effective at deterring magpies and squirrels.

So far so good. Pests are nowhere to be seen.

Promptly received but I let my boyfriend put them together as it was much quicker! The birds were initially confused and it took them a little time to find the perches as they had been used to a caged feeder but they got there!

Brilliant birds started feeding off suet off suet ball feeder straight away

We were having problems with magpies getting all the fatballs in the feeder bullying the little birds. Within days of using this product the magpies had given up and the songbirds were getting fed.

It has stopped the pigeons eating all the bird food we have the seed one as well there great and I will be ordering more also not buying so much bird food they are the best bird feeders I have purchased thank you

Birds took about two weeks to work out how to get to fat / suet food, now visited regularly. Well made and looks good.

Received my order and I am very happy with it I have tried all the different feeders, I did stroke a bit with the fat ball feeder but have now got the hang of it all of them are in use

We have 3 of these now. The only feeder that the Squirrels cannot get into.

It’s lovely to see the birds only eating from this feeder. Very amusing to see the squirrels trying and not succeeding to get at the fat balls.

Well made feeder, birds are loving the new design pegs for them to sit on, was hesitant at first! Great addition for the back garden and its definitely getting more birds visiting!

Birds struggling to reach in to feed. Possibly to big, not falling right.

Feeder made of the usual robust materials but missing the plastic ring. The suet nuggets seem to jam up so next refill I will try loading the feeding tube vertically and see if that improves things.

It’s good but the jackdaws & Starlings eat the lot before any of the smaller birds get a chance. So I’ve ordered another guard for bottom.

I recently purchased a roamwild bird ball feeder because I had so many Starlings feeding from the fat balls and the little birds who I wanted to feed them to didn't have a chance of getting them before they were all gone. Unfortunately I am finding that they can still feed from this feeder as the hatch does not shut down when they land on it. I thought that the latch would close as they are a much bigger bird. I am a pensioner and find it very difficult to buy expensive feeders but I thought this would save me money over time but that won't happen now. My daughter has some of your feeders fr their sunflower seeds and the Starlings don't feed from hers.

I am delighted with this feeder it has solved the problem of the Magpies eating all the fat balls and leaving the small birds without.
