The drop-forged, arrow-profiled head concentrates foot pressure on a single point of entry, penetrating compacted clay, dry beds and established turf in one step.

DROP-FORGED STEEL · BUILT IN
RootSaw™ Edge

A sharpened cutting edge built into the head slices through roots and obstacles without stopping to change tools. Cuts roots up to 25 mm as you dig.

INTEGRATED · NO ATTACHMENT NEEDED
TwinGrip™ Handle

The mid-shaft second grip gives you a square, balanced lift, keeping wrists neutral and reducing strain on the back, hands and wrists.

A note on weight: the Longer Length adds approximately 150 g of shaft. For light border work where minimal weight matters most, a standard border spade will feel lighter in hand — the Multi-Digger trades some weight for drop-forged strength and the second grip.

Questions & answers

I'm 5'10" exactly — which length should I choose?

At the boundary, go Longer. The extra reach mostly benefits your lower back on repeated lifts, and the 150 g weight difference is barely noticeable in use. Taller customers who chose Regular are our most common exchange.

Will it cope with stony ground?

Mixed soil with stones, yes — the point tends to find the gaps between stones. Ground that is mostly stone or builder's rubble suits a digging fork or mattock better.

What's the thickest root it can cut?

The RootSaw™ edge cuts roots up to 25 mm in a single pass. For thicker roots, use a pruning saw — forcing the cut will blunt the edge.

Is it suitable for fine transplanting work?

The 19 cm head is sized for digging, edging and turning beds. For lifting seedlings between close plantings, use a hand trowel.
