Brittle and broken after a year, poor quality you need to find an alternative material.
The baffle rings work very well. We had a small amount of food stolen by squirrels before fitting the rings, but have had no problem since. From experience, the rings need replacing every couple of years, as they need to be handled carefully when taking the feeders apart and reassembling them for a thorough clean.
I love my squirrel proof bird feeder that also keeps the seeds dry. I recently ordered 2 replacement baffle rings. Unfortunately one of these was cracked. The jiffy bag was not padded enough to protect the rings. I contacted Roamwild 2 days ago, so am waiting to hear back from them.
Placed ring on feeder. Not seen 1 squirrel on there up to date. So I'm very pleased.

Hi there sorry to hear this, the latest rings are UV resistant so should be more reliable. In terms of material it is a specially crafted material that causes squirrels and large birds to slip and loose grip if they manage to get onto the feeder.

This is a really useful product, and very important for keeping the seed dry. My only issue is that it should be made of a material less likely to go brittle after a year exposed to the elements.
I don't know if a more suitable material is available so perhaps I am being unfair, but it would make a big difference if it was more robust.
